Vernon L. Hatch, 74, worked at Select Sire Power, attended Lancaster Alliance Church

Vernon L. Hatch, 74, of Lititz, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at United Zion Retirement Community.

He was born in Corry to the late Ivan and Lucy (Schruman) Hatch, and was the husband of Rebecca R. (Phillips) Hatch.

Vernon was a member of the Lancaster Alliance Church. He had worked as an AI Technician for Select Sire Power.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Kelvin, wife of Anita Marie (Markel) Hatch, of Columbia, Craig; husband of Christine A. (Brooks) Hatch, of Camp Hill; three grandchildren: Austin L. Hatch, Kaley R. Hatch, Kiersten M. Hatch; a brother: Raymond Hatch of Erie; and a sister: Lois, wife of Jack Raymond, of Millersville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother: Norman Hatch.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, June 10, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Lancaster Alliance Church, 210 Pitney Road, Lancaster, followed by his funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Joseph D. Burchill and the Rev. Dr. B.W. Hambrick officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Vernon’s memory may be made to Lancaster Alliance Church, 210 Pitney Road, Lancaster, PA, 17601; Water Street Rescue Mission, 210 S.
