Virginia Rissler, 63, former area resident
Virginia Rissler, 63 of Hopkinsville, Ky., passed away March 18, 2015 at her home of natural causes.
She was born July 1, 1951 in Lancaster County, the daughter of the late William and Martha Weaver Martin.
She was a member of the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church in Pembroke.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband: Christian Rissler of Hopkinsville; six sons: Daniel, James and Samuel Rissler all of Hopkinsville, Ky.; Lloyd Rissler of Elkton, Ky.; David Rissler of Versailles, Miss.; and Marcus Rissler at home; five daughters: Lois Zimmerman of Pembroke, Ky.; Mary Hoover of Constable, N.Y.; Dorcas Martin of Elkton, Ky.; Mabel and Ruth Rissler both at home; two brothers: Clarence Martin of Martindale, and Michael Martin of New Holland; four sisters: Violet Weaver of Ephrata; Eleanor Martin and Grace Stauffer both of New Holland; and Ruth Landis of Unionville, Miss. Also surviving are 38 grandchildren.
Services were held March 23 at Meadow Valley Mennonite Church, Pembroke, Ky., with Amon Hoover, Benjamin Zimmerman, and Luke Burkholder officiating. Interment followed at the Meadow Valley Mennonite Church Cemetery.
Todd County Funeral Home, Elkton, Ky., handled the arrangements.
