W. Lamar Eberly, 77, former Beverage Mart owner, enjoyed storytelling, avid horseman

W. Lamar Eberly, 77, of Stevens, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016, at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Mount Airy, Lamar was a son of the late William B. and Kathryn R. (Keller) Eberly, and loving husband of Janis (Burkholder) Eberly.

Lamar was the owner and operator of the Ephrata Beverage Mart, and a member of Ephrata Blue Lodge No. 665 F&AM. An avid horseman, he loved all types of animals. Lamar was also a storyteller and enjoyed listening to a good story as well. Lamar was a proud American and a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle.

In addition to his wife, Janis: he is survived by two children: Rebecca S., wife of Randolph F. Hack, of Palmyra, N.J.; and William B. Eberly, husband of Edna (Crist) Eberly, of Ephrata; one step-granddaughter: Ashley N. Crist of Lancaster; two sisters: Delores A., wife of Daniel Kopp, of Stevens; and Cordelia I., wife of Earl Moats Jr., of Ephrata; and one brother: Fred R. Eberly, husband of Linda (Walmer) Eberly, of Ephrata; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, at Paul L. Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main St. Ephrata, PA 17522. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
