W. Lloyd Diem, 85, Stevens, farmer, truck driver, enjoyed trips to the mountains

W. Lloyd Diem, 85, of Stevens, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at Fairmount Homes.

He was born in West Earl Township to the late Oscar and Mary (Snader) Diem and was the husband of Elma M. (Halligan) Diem, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage.

Lloyd was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church. He was a farmer and truck driver. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his family and going to the mountains.

In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by a son: Gary L., husband of Deborah Diem of New Holland; daughter: Sharon L., wife of Nelson Sensenig of New Holland; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Clarence, Aaron, Arthur, and Melvin Diem.

Services were held Feb. 11 at Groffdale Mennonite Church, Leola, with Pastor Thomas Eshleman officiating. Interment followed in the Groffdale Mennonite Cemetery.
