Wilbur Eugene Leid, 86, Hockman’s Motor Express worker, enjoyed hunting and fishing

Wilbur Eugene “Leidy” Leid, 86, Terre Hill, died at home on Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Born in Brecknock Township, he was a son of the late LeRoy Lied and Grace (Rupp) Lied Adams.

Gene worked for Hockman’s Motor Express, Terre Hill, and Floyd Martin Garage, East Earl. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a member of Cocalico Sportsmen’s Association and Reamstown Athletic Association.

Surviving are his wife: Gladdis Z. (Schnader) Leid; daughters: Victoria Ann (Gerald) Ream, Ephrata; and Doreen Kay Buch, Martindale; son: Richard Eugene (Linda Graybill) Leid, Swartzville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters: Esther (Henry) Kuzminski, Brownstown; and Elaine (Wilbur) Bauder, Ephrata.

He was predeceased by a son: Darryl Scott Leid; and son-in-law: Rick Buch.

Private inurnment will be in Muddy Creek Cemetery.
