William Fritz, 85, N.G.K. Metals retiree, Kenhorst Fire Co. volunteer, father of nine

William Fritz, 85, of Cumru Township, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at the Reading Hospital.

Born in Reading, he was the husband of the late Mary J. (Leininger) Fritz, who passed away on April 12, 2014.

Bill retired from N.G.K. Metals after 37 years of service. He was a member of Christ Yocom Lutheran Church in Grill; and the Kenhorst Fire Company, where he once served as assistant fire chief.

Surviving are children, Cynthia, wife of Bruce Pierce, of Nancy, Ky.; Rebecca, wife of Edward Cooper, of Ten Sleep, Wy.; Kathy, wife of Ronnie Graddy, of Rutledge, Ala.; Sandra, wife of David Miller, of Mohnton; Peggy, wife of Craig Foster, of Hamburg; Sheri, wife of Michael Kaufman, of Mohnton; Kurt Fritz, husband of Wendy Douglass, of Leola; Keith, husband of Nanci Fritz, of Morgantown; and William, husband of Donna Fritz, of Flying Hills; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 8 at Giles and Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Mohnton, with Pastor Harry Goos officiating. Interment was in Christ Union Cemetery, Grill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made his memory to the Kenhorst Fire Company Truck Crew, 305 S. Kenhorst Blvd., Kenhorst, PA 19607.
