Bickharts married 50 years

Larry and Doris (Brechbiel) Bickhart, of Ephrata, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday. The couple was wed on Nov. 25, 1967, in Mechanicsburg by Rev. Miller Schmuck.

Doris worked as a proof operator at Blue Ball National Bank. Larry was a teller at Farmer’s First Bank for 12 years, auditor for the County of Lancaster for 20 years, and a teller at Fulton Bank for eight years.

Having lived in the area for 50 years, they are members of Hope United Methodist Church, Ephrata.

Doris enjoys crafting, sewing, and baking. Larry sings with the Gap Male Chorus and in his church choir. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and model trains. They both enjoy spending time with family.

They have one daughter: Janet, Nauman, wife of David, Manheim; and four grandchildren: Teah Snyder, wife of Brad; Ian Nauman, engaged to Melanie Fahnestock; Malia Nauman; and Ava Nauman.

The Bickharts will celebrate the milestone at a party, hosted by their family.
