Stoners married 60 years

James and Joane Stoner are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 15.

They were married Sept. 15, 1956, at First United Methodist Church in Ephrata.

Over the years, they enjoyed spending time with family at the cabin in Sullivan County, and on their boat at Raystown Lake. Jim enjoys golfing and hunting. Joane loves to travel and the challenge of a 1000-piece puzzle.

Jim and Joane are the parents of six children: James J.; Jerry, married to Joan; Jon, married to Kathleen; Jeff, married to Mindi; Jill Sensenig; and Judi, married to Bryan Brendle. They have 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The couple will celebrate their anniversary with a trip to New England and Canada.
