The 49th Annual Lititz Springs Invitational was held on Saturday, June 30, with 443 local athletes descending on the Lititz Springs Pool and participating in 191 heats of swimming.

Woodridge captured top-honors with 685.50 points followed by Ephrata (414.50), Mountville (393), Lititz Springs (388), Skyline (360), Hempfield (222.50), Conestoga Valley (218), Overlook (115) and Millersville (101.50).

Emma Oberholtzer, Woodridge, broke the invitational record in 10 and under girls breaststroke with a time of 18.25 seconds. Lititz Springs swimmer, Tara Freeman, broke the invitational, team and pool record in girls 15 and over butterfly with a time of 29.00 seconds.

Several relay team records were broken including boys 12 and under freestyle relay by the Mountville team of Bradley Atkinson, Alec Fatta, Tyler Lutter and CJ Saylor with a time of 2:04.63; with a time of 2:05.20 the boys 12 and under freestyle relay team of Gabe Cicala, Stefan Glavce, Ryan Hohman and Cade Uhlin from Woodridge; and the boys 14 and under freestyle relay team from Woodridge consisting of Evan Anthony, Christopher Cicala, David Heckel, and Keir Uhlin swam to a new record of 1:56.38.

As far as Ephrata was concerned, Cameron Reeder earned a pair of first place finishes to lead the way. Competing in the Boys 9-10 Division, Reeder took firsts in both the 25 back (19.80) and 25 fly (17.18) events. Also claiming firsts from Ephrata were: Kailee Freeman in the Girls 9-10 25 free (16.28); Jonathan Husson in the Boys 15-&-Over 50 free (26.12); and Cole Freeman in the Boys 8-&-Under 25 back (23.17).

The Ephrata Girls 8-&-Under 100 relay team, as well as the Girls 13-14 200 relay squad also claimed first place finishes.
