Anyone who played football for Ephrata in the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s will remember the popular VFW postseason banquets. With Tom Grater always serving as MC, the evening featured all-you-can eat-family style meals, speakers, entertainment — often in the form of an NFL highlight film — and an awards ceremony. Shown is one of the players’ tables from the event after the 1969 season, when the Mounts went 6-4 under first-year head coach Claude Lynch.
