Cocalico MiniThon set for Saturday

The annual Cocalico MiniThon is set for Saturday, from 4 to 10 p.m., at the high school.

This year students are going to try some new events, according to school officials. Among them are an ultimate dodgeball tournament, bingo, and a ping pong tournament. There will also be an ice cream-eating contest, tug of war, and fear factor.

Officials are are hoping that this year to attract more than 50 student participants.

All proceeds go to the 4-Diamonds Fund. The fund is a charity that supports the families of children who are receiving cancer treatment at the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Because of this charity, no family ever sees a medical bill. The fund also supports research to find a cure for cancer.

The MiniThon is not open to the public, but the entire student body and staff are invited.
