Wild Hymns returning to Eicher Arts Center

By on July 13, 2016

The Wild Hymns will perform July 17 at 2 p.m. at the Eicher Arts Center, 409 Cocalico St., in Ephrata Borough’s Grater Park.

Megan Woodland Donley is the singer-songwriter for the group, which plays modern folk music with touches of jazz, blues, Americana and improvisational rock and roll.

Donley said the band includes her husband, guitarist Jeff Hewitt; bassist/vocalist Cindy David; pedal steel guitarist Clem Foust; and vocalist Shelley Herlihy.

Admission to the band’s three-set program at the Eicher is free. Refreshments will be provided. Donations to the non-profit Eicher Arts Center, Inc. will be accepted.

The show is part of the 2016 series of admission-free entertainment and cultural programs that the Eicher Arts Center hosts.

The Eicher family built the Eicher House near Cocalico Creek in the early 18th century. The Eicher Arts Center was formed more than 30 years ago, as community members worked with Ephrata Borough to save the structure from the threat of demolition.
